INGREDIENTS

First of all, check if you have all the necessary ingredients for this recipe

  • 400 gr date syrup
  • 240 gr sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 30 gr cardamom
  • almonds or nuts according to taste.

Instructions

  1. 1. Put the date syrup and sugar in a saucepan over a low heat with constant stirring for 30 minutes
  2. 2. Put two egg whites with a little salt in another bowl and beat until meringue is formed.
  3. 3. Gradually add the egg white over the sugar and molasses mixture stirring constantly.
  4. 4. Then add cardamom. Continue to cook it on low heat until the mixture becomes thick and non-sticky, add the previously roasted according to taste.
  5. 5. Pour it in molds covered with parchment paper and leave it to cool for about 4 hours then cut to pieces.
